33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Luke 21:33-35
I woke up today with a plan. Get up, do my devotional, yoga, get ready for school, go to school, write letters, go to work, come home, paint, have Angelica come over for café, go to bed. The first part went according to plan, but the rest fell away when I went to school. It is one of the things that I love about Cochabamba. I have a general normal life, but there are various things that makes your plans just disappear. It really emphasizes that we should make plans because God doesn't expect us to just sit there and wait for things to happen. However, hold your plans loosely and allow God to do His thing.
The joy for me is that I got to watch for the first time how a peaceful protest works here. There was no tear gas or any violence, but if a trufi tried to drive by with passenger the people would take off the truffi number and tease them for not joining in the strike. To me it was like watching children have a free day from school run around yelling innocently at each other. I could not help but laugh to myself. No one noticed me, so I was free to just enjoy the view. Today is not what I expected, but it is a pleasant surprise.
