Since moving here I have been able to exercise more constantly. When I lived with a host family I walked about 30 minutes one way to school and back. I also walked to just about everywhere I went. It was an hour walk to the post office, which I did not do often because my mail is received at the SIM office. Since I moved to my own apartment, the walking has slowed because I am about a 5-10 minute walk from most places I need to go. As for my job, it would not be practical to walk. The shortest path is a little over three miles, but it is going through the cancha. However, I make an effort to walk a lot on the weekends. I also try to do a little yoga everyday.
Right now at Jireh we have construction going on which means that we cant use our class. We are conducting class at the tables we eat at. It is outside in the play area. This means lots of distractions and not just for the kids. I get distracted easily. The good news is that I am feeling more confident to jump into a leadership role. Monday, we had about three kids that had no homework. They were distracting the kids that did have homework, so I took them to the middle of the play area (also called the cancha). I made them run laps and other exercises. Their workout regiment is so elementary to what I was brought up with. I tried to teach them how to do crunches, proper push ups, basic gymnastic and yoga. I am not the type of coach that gives out orders. I do it right beside them. I learned on Tuesday that my body is not used to that hard core exercise anymore. My whole body hurt, but in a good way.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 2 Peter 1:5-7
