Christmas was nice. I got to skype with my family while they opened presents. That really helped me not feel left out. I was truly blessed to get my package from my sister and parents, so I had something to open too. I spent time with my host family and then the missionaries, so I was too busy to feel too home sick. It real
ly went very smoothly.
For New Years I went to play games with some of the missionaries and to get ready to move on the 1st. It was bittersweet because I have enjoyed living with Carmen to much. She is a wonderful person and has two great kids. On January 1st, I got up early and went jogging and did yoga. Then I gathered my things and went to my new home. I unpacked everything and rearranged some of the furnature to make it my own. Then, I had brunch with a couple of my neighbors in the mission compound. Then, I went to get food and things that I needed for at least the weekend. I rested for a little while and then did all my laundry. It was a very fulfilling day.

I should be here until I go back to the state to stay or to start over in gathering funds to come back. I think I am really going to like it here. It is small, but that just means I have less to clean. My room is huge and it has lots of storage. The kitchen is good for one person and the living room is very comfortable. The bathroom actually has a tub which is amazing. I slept really well. It is much quieter than Carmen's (trucks came by all night). It rained last night which means that it snowed on the mountain tops. That was a beautiful sight to see this morning on the way to the market. The market on Calle America is where we go to get our fruits and vegetables and meat.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
