Outreach

     If you have never had to do fundraising, then you have never truly been out of your comfort zone in the financial sense.  I have never faced discomfort like when I finish my speech and have to look people in the eye and say now how can you want to be a financial partner on my mission to Bolivia.  I find it so difficult to get the words out, even when I am surrounded by people who love and support me.





     Friday I talked to Marilyn Andrews and Steve Lutz who were both so encouraging.  They poured their love and efforts on me and they both came up with the same thing to help me.  Allow my prayer partners reach out for me.  So now after I get a friend to commit to partner with me I ask if they can get me into their life group, prayer group, or arrange to get a small group of people that are outside my social circle.  That way I have the opportunity to reach people that I may never meet any other way.  I am also asking my partners to get their "junk" to sell on facebook yardsale to help me with my one time cost. 
     Yesterday, Shannon Boatfield was such a great help.  He helped me refine my presentation to grab the heart strings and leave the logistics down to a minimal.  He helped advise me on how to reach out to businesses that I have a relationship with.  I did not realize how blessed my life is until I started this process.  God has put such wonderful people into my life.  I never knew how loved I was until now.
