It is important to raise my funds because without them I can not go. It is important to have prayer partners because without them I would be defeated by Satan. I would be fighting a spiritual war alone. Money and prayer are valid, but it would still mean nothing if I did not decisively persue a close relationship with my Abba. How can I pour out Agapa love without finding it for my self.
This week is RDM is going a bit slower due to it being the last week of summer. That is fine. I am trying to use this time to focus on relationships and with the Lord. I am so ready to go, but yesterday was my dad's birthday and it reminds me of what I am leaving behind. I know this is what God wants. It is what I want. However, that does not mean it is always easy.
My focal verse today is Hebrews 12:2 and I think it sums it up well. "Looking away to Jesus, who is the Leader and the source of our faith and is also its finisher. This means if we step away from our daily detractions and look to Jesus, then we will learn maturity. If we look to Him instead of our immediate problem, then it will not appear so big and our faith will grow as we trust Him to provide for our needs. He is bigger than our problems.
