Holidays

24 The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.
25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad.
26 The righteous should choose his friends carefully,
For the way of the wicked leads them astray.
Proverbs 12:24-26New King James Version (NKJV)

Every month has a holiday here.  The holiday this weekend I cant even say the name properly, so forget me trying to spell it.  It is very popular in Oruro, which is a nice festive city.  It is one of the holidays where the people go around with water balloons and such soaking each other.  My plan is to say home a lot.  It should be pretty easy.  I plan on cleaning and school only tomorrow.  Saturday, I go to the market and then we have an all day women's conference based out of Texas. I am interested to see how this all works.  Sunday, I do plan on walking to church but I will play that by ear.  Monday, in the afternoon I have plans with one of my professors.  We are going to meet for cafĂ© and practice my Spanish.  Tuesday, a total lazy day.  Well, I probably will cram Spanish because I only have one more week before I start my job.
The holiday is celebrating the virgin and one of their most popular.  It is very similar to the American Marti Gras.  That means I have no classes on Monday and Tuesday.  I will admit I am a bit panicy about starting my job. I love Spanish.  I enjoy learning it.  I knew it would be hard, but I didn't think my brain would fight me on remembering it so much.  I do believe that working with the kids will help me jump to the next level, but it is still scary because my level is not that great.  I actually can speak better than I do.  I just get nervous and forget almost everything I know.  When I practice at home (alone talking to myself) it sounds so much better.  Please keep up the prayers.  They are so appreciated.
Oh and I am all better.  The parasites are all gone.  I am eating like normal again.
