This is just an example of a parasite that you can find in Bolivia.
The time I have been here I have experienced a lot of new things. I thought that I was having IBS issues due to the physical stress of moving to a different country at my age. The altitude alone affects your entire body. However, this week I learned that I have not been having IBS issues. I actually had parasites. I didn't know this, but you can have them up to three months without knowing it. So, I am unsure exactly how long I have had parasites in my body. Last night I took my last dose so the last of the little bugs should be gone by morning. Lets just say that it felt like 24 hour stomach bug for over a week.
I am lucky to be with a mission that takes such good care of me. The mission doctor came to my house to check me out. The director checked in on me. Another missionary bought me groceries so I could make chicken soup. I also got my water purifier this week, so I don't have to boil water everyday to have drinking water. I have felt horrible, but it is nice to know that I am lover, prayed over, and not alone in times like this.
21 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” 22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour. Matthew 9:21-22
