I got to talk to my family that got together for lunch via skype. I am so grateful that God makes people so creative that I get to benefit. Skype is a blessing to my family. I may not be there physically, but I am able to see them and talk to them. I had a good day of cooking. I miss it, but it takes so much longer here. I probably will not cook as often for that reason alone.
The celebration at school is why we have Thanksgiving in the states. There was only three out of about 20 that were American. I looked around me with such a full heart when I realized that everyone near me is from Europe and all over Europe too. There was only one Bolivian, until her son and his friend came to help us finish. It was such a beautiful experience. Everyone coming together to help make the Americans feel at home. I couldn't imagine a better way to celebrate what my nation is supposed to be all about. I am so beyond blessed.
To top it off, I got to talk to two of my hiking buddies on Skype before going to bed. I have not talked to either of them since I left. They had me laughing so hard. The entire day was a day of laughter and joy.
“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”
Revelations 7:12
