Happy National Birthday

22 "...as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor.
23 So the Jews agreed to continue the celebration they had begun, doing what Mordecai had written to them."
        Esther 3:22-23

As America's Birthday comes up, I must remember all the sacrifices that were made to allow me to have the freedom that I have today.  I also acknowledge what immigrants still have to go through to become citizens of our great nation.  How they appreciate their freedom so much more than we do.  I could go in a tangent about how we all should live where ever we want as long as we abide the laws or how we are not honoring our forefathers with our behavior, but I will not.  Instead, I want to celebrate what God is doing.
I am so close to getting to Bolivia (70%) that I am finally getting excited again.  I have prayed hard.  I have jumped out of my comfort zone.  I have had to become more open about what my needs are.  I have learned to love public speaking.  This may not be a lot, but it is my testimony of how God is working through me.
So, this 4th of July I am celebrating what God is doing.  We all make our choices and He gives us that freedom.  I pray that the revival that is beginning in Bartow County will spread to the nation.  I pray that all those who see us Christians as hypocrites or snobs or cruel people will begin to see us as a loving people.  I pray that I will have an open heart to change where I need to still change.  It is a journey.  We do not become mature Christian over night any more than we grow as a person over night. I ask that you join with me this week and pray for our Nation and what will happen to it after the next presidential election.
