Fall

Fall is my favorite and least favorite time of the year.  I love fall because of all the colors.  The air is cool and crisp in the morning.  The afternoons are not so hot and I can enjoy the evenings watching the sun go down each day.  It is a time of such beauty.  It is also a time of watching all the spring and summer beauty die away for the winter.  A reminder of the cold that is coming around the corner.  I hate the cold.  It hurts me to the core.  It also is the time of year that the days become short.  I love the long days of summer.  That part of fall make me a little sad, but I always remember that if we did not have the not so pleasant times, then we would not appreciate the good times as much.
I love remembering God's glory and beauty and mercy.  I look at fall and it reminds me to thank God for the tribulations in life.  All the hardships that I have endured have helped me become the woman I am today.  People in life will let you down, but God is always there to catch you.  I remember that I have to take the bad people in life, so I can truly enjoy the time that I get to spend with the good people.  To be honest, I have sifted through so many people out of my life that the people that are in my life now are a true blessing to me.  I have never had so many good friends who love me for being me in my entire life.  To top that off, God is adding more people into my life.  I can't wait to get to Bolivia and enjoy their fall (which will be our spring).
