Missionary news from Bolivia

December 2016

Dear Prayer Partner
What I Have Been Doing
Since August, I have been praying that God give me the exact mission that He has for me long term.  After that, for Him to show me where.  Lately, I have also added in a ministry partner.  I love my children and the people that I work with.  However, I have learned that I am not a teacher and I don't thrive the best in that atmosphere.  I Have been meeting with a lot of people and learning about the different ministries here in Cochabamba and other parts of Bolivia.  I started helping out with a missionary group out of my church here with feeding the homeless.  Just this week, I went to the teen girl prison.  God is shedding light on the job He has for me.  Now, I am waiting for the where and the ministry partner.  More to come on the subject in the future.

Changes

I have really enjoyed my life in Cochabamba.  It is one of the best places to live.  However, I am coming to the end of my term.  I am looking at the changes my life has had over the last 15 months and what I want to see in the next 8 months.  A lot of the people I have grown close to will be moving onto a new journey in life and I couldn't be happier for them.  Others, are getting more settled in their lives where ever they are.  I have never been one to just sit still, so I have been contemplating on what I want to see in my life in the next few months and years.  I believe after the new year that I will lessen my time at Jireh and focus on things that are more along my Spiritual gifts and personality.  I would thrive in administration along with taking care of people.

My updates
  • I have made some really incredible friends and a family of friends.  I really have made a comfortable life.
  • I had a great Thanksgiving with my coworkers and close friends.  I am hoping the same for Christmas and New Years.
  • I have had the opportunity to help with a Gala, a fund-raising benefit for Jireh, which brought me more joy than I thought it would.
  • Also, we have recently celebrated some birthday which keep life festive, even in the rainy season.

Prayer and Praises
  • My Grandfather is not doing well at all.  Please pray that he is healed and strengthened and that my family is not burned out by the stress of it all.
  • The perfect fit job for me as a servant of Christ and the energy and courage to do the job even if it may scare me a little.
  • Blessing over my international prayer group who are special ladies that make my life better in every way for just knowing them.
  • Next week we are going to have a Christmas Party for the Homeless at my Church.  Please keep all those in need here and at home in your prayers during the holidays.

Grateful for your partnership and friendship!
May God Bless You,

Amberly
