Marisa & Sarah

I have been at Jireh for a few days now.  Next week, I start five days a week, but still only in the afternoon.  A few of the kids have already captured my heart.  I am doing interviews with at least one child a week to be able to understand what they are saying and practice my Spanish very intentionally.  Marisa is one of the special little girls that stole my heart right away.  She is so smart.  I have also learned that most if not all the kids speak Quechua, which is a native language to Bolivia.  Most are probably from that heritage more than Bolivian.  Here is a small video of Marisa singing a little song in Quechua.

Sarah is one of my missionary friends.  She is with SAM (South American Mission) which is very similar to SIM, but only for South America.  She came to Cochabamba for language school.  On Sunday, she moves to Santa Cruz to start serving God there.  I will miss her terribly, but excited about her new chapter in life.  The weather is much more comfortable in Cochabamba than Santa Cruz, so keep her in your prayers as she adjust to a new life.  She has friends there, but also be praying that she finds a family there like what we have here.

26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which[a] is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. Colossians 1:26-28New King James Version (NKJV)
