Mother's Day Weekend

3 "Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”  Acts 6:3-4

This weekend began Thursday night at the National Day of Prayer.  In Cartersville, we gathered at the courthouse as one church and not many.  We had a parade and singing and fellowship.  It was a wonderful way to begin the weekend.
Friday, was much the same. Some people I work with and I volunteered at the March of Dime to raise money for babies that don't have a hope.  Where families can be together during times of tragedy.
Saturday, carried into my sister, Mylinda, and mine's Mother's Day celebration.  Our mother has wanted to have tea with us for years.  For whatever reason, it has never happened, so Mylinda made it happen and I came along for the ride.  It was nice.  They had entertainment for us and a lovely atmosphere.
Sunday, I had to work so not much happened in terms of celebration.  However, I did give mom her gift on that day.
