Prayer is the most powerful weapon that I have in my arsenal to fight discouragement, negativity, the elements of the world, and to be able to see God work. On the other hand, prayer is the only way I get to be in God's presence, feel His shelter, and to have hope. Prayer is my double edged sword in the battle of life. Since I got my contract signed to move to Bolivia to work with street kids, my emotions have been on a roller coaster. This is odd because for the most part, I am usually very steady. I have had to rely on prayer on a whole new level. Something else that I have observed is how so many others need prayer just as much as I do, if not more, to just get through the day. There are so many people in anxiety, pain, or just fatigue.
One thing I do love about the states is our freedom to pray, we have a national day of prayer, and pastor appreciation months. My request for my readers is that you spend today praying for those you love. They may not have told you of anything in particular that may be going on, but I guarantee that they do need your prayers and so do I. Pray with a listening heart and the Holy Spirit will put the person or people in your mind. He is the interpreter, so you don't need to know details, you just need to pray. I will join you in this endeavor and if any of you want to call or facebook message me any prayer request, then I will keep it private and pray.
